Gabby is a BAFTA awarded comedy writer, having written regularly on CBBC’s Horrible Histories since series 8, and on both series of CBBC’s Horrible Science. She was also a regular writer on ITV1’s Newzoids, writing both soft topical sketches written in advance and hard topical sketches written a few days before transmission.

Radio & Podcasts

Gabby has been a regular writer on multiple flagship BBC Radio 4 comedy shows, including The News Quiz, The Now Show and Dead Ringers. In 2014 she was awarded the BBC Comedy Bursary to work at the BBC’s In House comedy department for 15 months, across multiple programmes and social media. She worked with Sarah Millican on Elephant in the Room from its creation to the finished two series. She co-wrote both series of Sue Perkins’ Earpedia for Audible. During the pandemic lockdowns, she worked with You’re Dead To Me’s Greg Jenner and Dr Emma Nagouse to co-create and co-write the award winning Homeschool History for Radio 4 & BBC Sounds. She has since worked with the same team to co-create, co-write and co-produce Dead Funny History for Radio 4 and BBC Sounds, which ran over 2025’s Christmas & 2026’s New Year. She has script edited multiple episodes of Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack and script edits The Daily Tism’s audio sitcom It’s A Superpower?? She has also voice acted on Dead Funny History and It’s A Superpower??

As well as writing kids’ TV and radio, Gabby has worked with LEGO to write three short films to promote their Rebuild the World campaign. She also writes for Tonies - her series of funny bedtime stories for young listeners, ‘Enchanted Bedtime Stories’, is available to buy now.

She worked with Jon Holmes and KMFM in 2022 on Arias Shortlisted ‘Cool Skool’, in which she & other comedy writers gave workshops and a half day of mentoring to Kent Primary School children to help them write their own radio sketch show. She is available to run school workshops on writing sketch comedy or as an author talk - either in person to schools in South East England or online.
